Video Journalism for Project Documentation Internships for Journalism, Filmmaking or Mass Communication students. Protection of the nature and water resources requires active involvement and united actions of wide range of professionals and many others. It is important to deliver results of the researches and forecasts to people using different types of communications. The video journalism internship position one of significant components of the MacArthur Agroecology Research Center, Caloosahatchee River Oxbow Restoration and Rotary Village Water Supply projects accomplishes these actions. This internship position involves a student-trainee in producing a short summary video documenting main aspects of the projects, working with various University of Florida faculties and other US scientists, environmentalists, engineers, government officials and communities. Interns’ activity: - Study subjects, interviewing, filming, and editing of the media production; - Produce different types of media products: documentaries, clips, PowerPoint presentations, on-line presentations, articles, photo reportages; - Deliver various types of presentations to different audience: for the group of teenagers and your peers to government officials; - Provide independent on-line research on related topics (water resources, drinking water supply, nature protection, environment, community actions, etc.) and geographical areas (USA, Central Asia, West Africa etc.) - Southern DataStream provides the content guidance and all the basic equipment (digital video/photo camera and editing software).
