D4. Environmental Law Research

Training for Environment, Law and other students.

SDS/III has been working on shaping out various environmental policies, in order to prevent theirs abuses for political advantages. While our position is often challenging, eye-taking actions of political decision makers are often just too short term. Deeper understanding of environmental ordinances, policies and laws and theirs implications in wide perspectives is main objective of this training assignment.

    List of main tasks:

  • Conduct quality research in selected, environment related issue;
  • Develop appropriate background to understand that issue also from technical perspective;
  • Document your findings in organized manner to appropriate websites;
  • Observe application of newly proposed policies, rules and ordinances from short- and long-term perspectives;
  • Advocate your position, if it is not matching the "officially" presented views;
  • Get involved in public meetings, where a specific issue is being discussed;
  • Organize educational campaigns to raise awareness of politically correct, but environmentally incorrect decisions.
